The fictional character Groot can be found in American comic books produced by Marvel Comics. The first instance of the character was in Tales to Astonish #13, which was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby (Nov. 1960). The original Groot, an extraterrestrial sentient tree-like monster, first showed up as an invasion with the intention of capturing humans for testing. The character can only utter the phrase "I am Groot," which has multiple meanings. He may be understood by Rocket Raccoon and Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.



The character was reintroduced in 2006 and appeared in the crossover comic book narrative "Annihilation: Conquest" as a brave, honourable person. Groot later became a prominent member of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew and starred in the spin-off television series. Groot has appeared in a number of linked Marvel products, such as toys, trading cards, and animated TV shows. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Groot, "baby" Groot, and "teen" Groot are all voiced by Vin Diesel. Krystian Godlewski performed performance capture for the character in the first film. For the upcoming Disney+ short form programme I, Baby Groot will return."I Am Groot," Groot is voiced by Fred Tatasciore in the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout ride at Disney California Adventure. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will both feature Diesel reprising his role as the character (2023). In the 2018 Disney animated feature Ralph Breaks the Internet, Diesel voiced Groot in a brief guest appearance. Groot has gained notoriety with the release of his animated film and television show, and his catchphrase "I am Groot" has even inspired Internet memes. [1]
